I just looked at last minute, impulsive-waste of money-do I really need to fly to Boston for the weekend-it is fucking cold there-it is warm here-I see these people every day here in Los Angeles do I really need to fly to the east coast to see their show, plane tickets on JetBlue.com. The price, $325.00 each way from Burbank to Boston.

So, I am not going, and yes it was impulsive and I also have a ton of work to do here in LA, but it would have been fun to see the amazing Figgs, American Hi-Fi , Letters to Cleo and Billy Janovitz. Mike, Kay and the kids ae leaving tomorrow morning and I guess I am just a bit jealous and wanting to get out of town for a minute before my next show starts on Monday.

Instead I will stare at this poster and marvel at the guitar snowflakes.

Great charity, even better show!

I love acupuncture-it helps with so many ailments, emotions, aches and pains.

I also love Los Angeles because we are always first to try anything that will make you feel your best.

That’s why I think this new acupuncturist in my neighborhood will make a killing.

There are so many losers that will benefit from curing ailment #3. If it really works we may soon see freeway drivers using blinkers, people putting their cell phones down on the checkout line and Ed Hardy stores going out of business.

Here is a drawing for an “Act 3″ sketch we did a couple years ago. The script required a set that could be assembled in less than 10 minutes during a commercial break and struck before “Act 4″.

It's the entrance to Club Carlos with Mencia's actual motorcycle parked out front.

It's Club Carlos! Only a day before the live shoot!

Then the dream team of Bianca, Josh and Shane made the street come to life!

Of course it wasn't really Tom Cruise.

No stupid Hollywood girls allowed either.

The doorman/woman means business

Well, there goes another before and after. The script got to us, it was built and shot and destroyed in 48 hours. I love Hollywood.

Justine and I have made our first very serious decision as husband and wife. No, it doesn’t have to do with kids, a life insurance policy or how to figure out the whole last name thing. Our big decision has to do with where we invest our money. From now on we will never spend cash on Christmas or birthday presents for eachother unless it is art, and ideally an original and not a lithograph. To kick it off this Xmas we decided to buy a painting for our new house. Here it is. A Todd Goldman original.

These one of a kind canvases are paintings of the characters that will be in Todd’s new Fox cartoon series that premieres next year. We decided on Miss. Tease, she is our new daughter.

Our next purchase is by my new favorite artist Rob Wynne.

There is a whole series of these. I am starting with these.

There is a whole series of these. I am starting with two.

These are original, one of a kind prints and I am so crazy about all of the work I want to collect everything he’s done. We were at our friend Naomi’s gallery in Las Vegas and pulled these out of storage to claim them.

So, instead of Christmas today with presents under the tree we are just going to stare at the wall and look at our investments. Hopefully all of the decisions we make as husband and wife will be this easy.

I don’t know if you knew it or not but before KISS took their makeup off in the 80’s they were actually four black guys under costumes and greasepaint!

This was such a fun sketch to Production Design. The script called for a super run down front yard, a 70’s era dressing room for black KISS and to build a concert stage to match the original Gene Simmons concert footage. Of course we had to tweak the look of the KISS logo because, even though Comedy Central was OK with claiming KISS was a bunch of black guys before removing their makeup in the 80’s, using the real logo is a no-no.

Josh, Shane, Dalton and Nandor built the tank and canon to match the KISS stage in the 70’s and the KISS lights in the background are the lights from the ‘Black Daddy’ sketch, just painted black and reformatted. As always, they pulled it together in a few hours the day before the shoot.

We shot the exteriors in Sylmar on probably the hottest day of the summer and the stage and dressing room at the Henry Fonda in Hollywood on the same day as 3 other scripts. Those were two intense days, but we spent some money we didn’t have, made some magic happen and everyone was happy. Except for Jim Ziegler when he got the bill.
